I found A Course in Miracles in 1977, and next year will be my 50th year as a student of the Course. I have never been more committed to its path for the healing of us all. The Course’s chosen way is through forgiveness, but it also tells us that we don’t know how to extend that forgiveness without Help. Therefore, we need not only the willingness to let forgiveness rest on all our thoughts but also to let the Gift God has given us in the Holy Spirit lead the way.
We are not alone in the darkness of our lives and the world. We have Help. It is time we become comfortable with this Voice and its Guidance because it will never fail us. It is time we stay focused on the truth.

One reminds us of the Help that is ever available as we walk this world, asking us to remember a thousand times a day: Who walks with me? I walk with God in perfect holiness. (W-156) The other is from lesson 71, reminding us that, before we do anything, go anywhere, or say anything, we should ask our Internal Teacher: What would You have me do? Where would You have me go? What would You have me say, and to whom?
These powerful quotes are perfect reminders to have near in a world where divisive talk, hate crimes, acts of inhumanity, mass shootings, and the intensity of climate change rage. The form of the world may be an illusion that constantly shifts and changes, but we can stand together on the solid ground of peace as we follow a Guidance that does not deny the world but helps us to look through it to the truth.
