As I have shared before, when I was a little girl my dad always carried a hanky in his back pocket. Every morning as he got ready, I knew he was not fully dressed until that hanky went in his pocket. Many times he never used that hanky, for I would see it come out of his pocket at the end of the day, just as neat and pressed as when it went in (yes, my mom always pressed his hankies!). But, he always knew it was there just in case he needed it.
As I enter my 44th year of studying A Course in Miracles, I realize yet again that my Course study, lessons, and understanding are the hanky in my back pocket. They are always there if I need them, and I am ready to handle whatever comes my way because they are tucked into my mind and heart.
For many of us, this last year has been the most challenging time in our lives. We have faced a global pandemic. We have seen loved ones make their journey into eternal life. Many have lost jobs, lost their homes, suffered food insecurities, and we as a country have faced incredible strife and division. But we are teachers of God, teachers of the message of love, and it is time we arise in our glorious truth and allow the light in us to shine upon this world.
I know this awareness is what creates the miracles we are all entitled to right now, and that is why the Center has continued to offer its many free services and even expanded them. We hope the Course and the Center have been like that hanky for you – always there when needed – even when you are not aware. For the past 43 years, the Center has strived to be an oasis of support and guidance for students of A Course in Miracles, especially during this most challenging time.
The Center’s life-changing outreach, however, would not be possible without our Holy Helpers, our core group of donors. This pandemic has brought us many new friends, desperate for the Course’s message. While the world has changed, our Center has been a steady beacon, freely providing inspiration and services through The Holy Encounter magazine, livestream meetings, weekly inspirational emails, prayer ministry, prison project, interactive website, and other services we began offering for free during this time. We know that being truly helpful helps you, helps us, and helps bring our world closer to a healing transformation.
And, that is why I would like to invite you, if you are in a position to do so, to become a Holy Helper. It would truly be an honor to have you join our inner circle of supporters who are the hanky in the back pocket of the Center!
When you become a Holy Helper with your monthly donation of $15 or more, we’ll welcome you with this new canvas tote bag with the powerful Course quote: “Teach only love, for that is what you are.” This matches the quote on our new face mask.
Plus, when you join our Holy Helper family, you will receive a 10% discount on purchases from our bookstore.
This is our way of thanking you for becoming a Holy Helper. The support of our Holy Helpers provides the Center with a constant source of funding that can be relied upon to guarantee the Center and its valuable services will be here when you or others need them. Please take a moment to prayerfully consider becoming a Holy Helper. You may use the enclosed form to indicate your new monthly support (or increase your monthly support) and how you would like to make that possible.
Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to welcoming you to our family of Holy Helpers!

P.S. If you are unable to commit to becoming a Holy Helper at this time, please consider a one-time gift in support of our work. Bless you!
