by Kenneth Wapnick, Ph.D.
Cautions us not to be disturbed by obstacles to learning from Jesus, nor to despair over our limitations. The ego uses them to compare and judge, pushing us to overcome our imperfections, thus concealing the mind's decision for guilt and substituting a limited self for our unlimited Self. With the Holy Spirit, we recognize our self-defeating choice, allowing true correction to heal. Our imperfections are mere detours on our journey home–contours of our classroom for learning Jesus' forgiveness lessons, which fade as we are joined in the Atonement as God's perfect Son.
